Throughout our time together in this facilitators training, we’ll touch on the philosophies behind the Work of Art, what we believe makes a successful Work of Art workshop, and what we do to support artists as they work through the material. We’ll also spend a little time with the content to address questions you might have about exercises, timing, and what to keep or cut if you must prioritize certain sections or aspects of the curriculum. And finally, we’ll work through a practice exercise in designing and facilitating a Work of Art workshop series for your community. If you haven’t already, please take some time to familiarize yourself with the content in the Work of Art workbook. We won’t spend a lot of time walking through the material, so it’s best to get a sense of each unit before we jump into the Intensive.
